International Passenger Terminal

A new International Passenger Terminal was constructed in the Port of Split, representing one of the major infrastructure projects aimed at modernizing maritime passenger transport and improving the functionality of the City Port.

The project was carried out on the outer breakwater of the City Port, on the site of the former Jadranribolov facilities. The works included the demolition of existing structures, construction of a new terminal building with a gross floor area of 2,676.87 m², reconstruction and extension of existing facilities, and the redevelopment of traffic and surrounding areas. The total project area covers 12,558 m².

The terminal consists of a ground floor, an upper floor and an accessible rooftop level. The ground floor accommodates passenger reception and waiting areas, information and ticketing points, sanitary facilities, as well as areas for police, customs and border control. Offices for the relevant authorities are located on the upper floor, while the rooftop level, known as Lungomare, has been designed as a publicly accessible area offering panoramic views of Split and the surrounding sea.

The construction of the new terminal provides the conditions for relocating international passenger traffic and the Schengen border crossing from St Domnius Pier to the outer breakwater. This will free approximately 14,000 m² of operational space at St Domnius Pier for domestic maritime traffic, enabling improved traffic organization and more efficient operation of the City Port.

Construction works began in February 2024 and were completed in September 2026.
